The Story of Timbuctoo: Black Voting Rights in the Adirondacks

ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³»­ Live: Summer Series presents, β€œThe story of Timbuctoo: Black voting rights in the Adirondacks,” with Pete Nelson, a co-founder of the Adirondack Diversity Initiative and an adjunct faculty member at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³»­. Pete’s presentation will focus on the effort to establish voting rights for free blacks in the North Elba region of the Adirondacks in the 1840s.Β 

The session is part of ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³»­ Live: Summer Series and will be held via Zoom Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. It is free, although pre-registration is required so invitation details can be sent to participants. To register, visit www.nccc.edu/live.
