Who is eligible?
New Yorkers 25-55 years old without a college degree* who
enroll in an eligible full-time or part-time associate degree
program. See for more details. 
*Students entering the Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) with prior 
degrees may now qualify for SUNY Reconnect.
 
What does 鈥渇ree鈥 mean?
The SUNY Reconnect program covers the cost of tuition, fees,
books, and supplies after all other financial aid is applied. It
does not cover housing.

 

NYS Residency Rule:

New York State Education Law requires all students to show proof of residence upon enrolling in a community college. To be eligible for in-state tuition, you must complete the Residency Requirement.  Click the Residency Requirement link below for instructions. The out of state tuition is $114.00 more per credit, which will be applied to a student鈥檚 account if they neglect to follow through on the residency requirement by the deadline date. (30 days after the start of classes)  Please Note: Scholarships will not cover the out of state tuition for residents of New York State.
