Withdrawal Process

COLLEGE BRIDGE COURSE WITHDRAWAL PROCESS

There is a limited window during which students can be registered for courses or withdrawn from courses without financial liability.  Once the Add/Drop period is concluded a copy of the course registration list will be e-mailed to the instructor and the counselor.

Withdrawing or dropping Students without financial penalty (student is not taking the course for Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ credit)

Fall Semester Courses               Second Week of November

Academic Year Courses            Second Week of November

Spring Semester Courses        Second Week of April

Withdrawal for other reasons:

Student is no longer in the course

Student has left school district voluntarily

Student is dismissed

Student is not making satisfactory academic progress

Withdrawal/Drop  Process: (counselor/instructor/student)

  • Follow verification process described above throughout the semester.
  • If the student name appears on the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ roster, the student is considered enrolled.
  • As soon as the student chooses to withdraw:

  • For each student, the e-mail will include:
    • Student Full Name
    • High School Name
    • Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Course (not English 12)
    • Instructor
    • Date of withdrawal (last attended)
    • Reason for withdrawal

Student is no longer in the course

Student has left school district voluntarily

Student is dismissed

Student is not making satisfactory academic progress

  • Verify completion of withdrawal/drop process:
    • Use verification process described above.
    • Usual turnaround of a request to withdraw is 5 working days or fewer.
    • If the student name appears, contact collegebridge@nccc.edu.    Resend the e-mail request.
    • If you are still unable to verify withdrawal, call the records office directly, 518-891-2915
